Market leaders unite at the Internationale BouwBeurs

‘Together we build’ is the theme of the Internationale BouwBeurs 2011, which will be held from February 7-12 in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht, The Netherlands. More than half of all available stand space has already been filled. Organizer VNU Exhibitions Europe is counting on 750 exhibitors, who, together with the trade show Bouw & ICT and the Material Xperience event, will fill up the entire Jaarbeurs Complex. Companies who would like to participate, can take an option on a stand location.

‘Up to now, bookings are steady,’ says Martijn Carlier, Project Manager. ‘The economic crisis in the construction sector is not reflected in a crisis at the BouwBeurs. The most important thing is that market leaders are united in their support for the BouwBeurs and are showing their confidence in the trade show. There are a number of exhibitors who are booking smaller stands. A trend which fits in with the current economic climate. However, they do not want to miss the trade show, because participation for them is an essential means to realize their marketing goals.’

At the moment, 270 participants have signed up and around 25,000 m2 of trade floor space has been filled. There are also several new companies participating in next year’s edition, such as: Wienerberger, Stiho, Monier and Rockwool. ‘We understand that companies are very critical about where and how they spend their money. We realize that for many companies participating in the BouwBeurs is a huge investment. That is why it is so amazing that most of the suppliers made the deliberate decision to come and present themselves at the BouwBeurs. The BouwBeurs is not a trade show to skip, as it yields concrete business opportunities,’ says Carlier.

The trade show Bouw & ICT will take place at the same time as the Internationale BouwBeurs. Bouw & ICT is the platform for ICT applications and services for the entire building sector, from design to construction to maintenance. The last trade show took place on March 17-18, 2010, and was a very successful stand-alone edition with 2,884 visitors. Bouw & ICT will take place on February 8-11 in Hall 5.

In cooperation with Architectenweb, a section of Hall 1 will be dedicated to architects, interior designers and creative professionals. Material Xperience will be organized for architects and aims to introduce the latest materials and products and inspire colleagues in the field of architecture and interior design. This trade show will take place from February 8-10.

With 750 exhibitors, the Internationale BouwBeurs – held from February 7-12 in the Jaarbeurs Utrecht - is the most important trade show for the entire building sector. This edition’s theme is ‘Together we build’. An extensive activity program will be linked to the trade show. The trade show Bouw & ICT will take place at the same time as the Internationale BouwBeurs. For more information, visit the website: www.bouwbeurs.nl.
